Marvin L. Wells is a freelance photographer whose passion lies in visually moving objects and people from the realistic to the abstract. Having studied photography at Columbia College in Chicago and having worked in commercial photography for over 30 years, Marvin has found that Fine Art Photography is what he loves.
Searching for interesting images has taken Marvin from the northern border of Wisconsin to the southern tip of South Carolina and from the sleepy towns in Mexico to the beautiful beaches of the Caribbean. In each of his images, regardless of the location, Marvin has strived to create prints that make people think.
An avid supporter of black and white film photography, Marvin has found that the digital world has opened up a whole new world of creativity. Recently combining the "old" with the "new" Marvin has been revisiting some of his older photographic film work with various computer imaging programs to create an extended vision of his original work.
Marvin's talent for creating thought provoking images has been showcased at the South Side Community Art Center, Olive-Harvey College, Kroch's and Brentano's Bookstore, the Black Esthetics exhibit at the Museum of Science and Industry and several art fairs in Chicago. |
